  a couple of years ago during the km meeting the day of the memorial was announced, location and time.

  the announcement was followed by a km article review re: the memorial (question & answer).

  my daughter was 5 at that time and had been dozing off & on.

  (Last year-no longer attending JW meetings)

  My daughter had been reading her bible stories book (age 8) & looking up the scriptures. She was so impressed how the "woman" was made.

  During a coffee break during field service, she went up to a local elder she called "grandpa". She said, "Grandpa I know how "Eve" was made!" The bro said, "Tell me". She said, "God put Adam to sleep then he removed "Adam's Hipbone to make Eve". I then looked at her & said, "are you sure it was the hipbone hunny?"

  SHe then replied, "YES, MOM--- I read it in my very own bible yesterday!"

  The elderly elder looked at me puzzled. I then said, Well I guess we'll have to read how Eve was created over in the bible.

  My daughter was 5 at that time and had been dozing off & on. She jumped up startled, opened her eyes and spoke reallllly LOUD, "MOM, Who Died?"

  All the brothers turned & looked at me. I was so embarrased. I then told my daughter Christ Jesus & she responded, "Wasn't that a LOOOONG time ago?"

  I just shook my head & said yeah I'll explain it at home.

  Thank you heaven. I didn't have much hair then until about I was almost 4. Now I have so much that I have to get it thinned out. My daughter also has alot of hair. Her eyes are hazel green now instead of blue.

  Thanks Expatbrit. I had real bad experience with my Ex-husband (1st boyfriend) a JW.

  Because I'm latin (Mexican/Spaniard) people tend to have an erroneous stereotypes about latin women. They either think I'm dumb & passive or a Latin Lover. It's awful.

  People also always mispronounce my first name (a german name). When they see my latin last name they instantly think that I can't speak English or if I do that I have a thick accent which I don't. I grew up in the states & I have a degree.

  Sorry that I'm ranting.

  That is Silver Lake. My friend Cathy was married last year by the river (I forgot the name) It's about 10 minutes from Silver lake. We all camped out in the cabins. I was a bridesmaid & my daughter a flowergirl.
